This is the piece that does the work: with jeans it reads as daytime, with black trousers it reads as dinner. Textured jacquard, puffed shoulders and a nipped waist finishing in a short flare.

• Jacquard woven with a tonal raised pattern — you feel it and you catch it in the light, with no loud print.
• Puffed shoulder and sleeve head, narrowing from the elbow: wider up top, slimmer down the arm.
• Mandarin collar and covered button front all the way up.
• Fitted waist with a short A-line peplum that skims the hip rather than marking it.
• Four colours: brown, black, ecru and pink.

Getting the size right

Here we do have the manufacturer's real chart, in centimetres, measured on the garment. The manufacturer itself notes a ±3 cm margin because the measuring is done by hand:

The manufacturer also adds a rough weight and height guide: S for 43-50 kg and 154-160 cm, M for 50-57 kg and 157-163 cm, L for 57-64 kg and 160-166 cm.

This is a genuinely fitted cut. Go by the chest and waist figures above: if you want to wear it open over a sweater, or simply looser, go up one size.
